This is the first room we were shown. It is on the fourth floor, at the front of the mill and is an office approx 1/4 the size of the pub.
This is one of the "inner offices" - note, it is inside the building, and thus has no windows to the outside. This room is about 1/3rd smaller than the room before, but is in the more developed part of the building on the third floor.
This is the hotdesking area. Probably not much use to us as a Hackspace, but for those who might want to work from here for the afternoon before meeting up in the evening??
And this is the board room - Anyone who uses the site has access to these facilities. Again, not much use for us, but for individuals in the group?
We requested kitchen facilities - here's the kitchen and snack area. There's a shower a bit later on.
A larger, half-and-half office space. Probably not much use to us, but again it could be available for use on one-off events?
This is the store room, and my personal favourite, which we could consider using - it's right next to a service lift, and is on the third floor, near the developed area. It's split into two areas, one side of which has some old heating equipment in and has a window, and the other side has the existing air conditioning exchanger unit in.
Here's the second area, which is around the same size as the first, but has no window, that is, they are all bricked up. There is a doorway in both sides, so we could easily take just *one* and not the other. Note, both sides have a raised area towards the window, so there could be a trip hazard here.
On the third floor is a shower area. I didn't take particularly good photos of these. Sorry. It's quite close to the store room area too, which is good :)
Near the shopping section of broadstone mill is a staircase to the "artists" area. This is a caged lockup. I'm not that impressed with it, as you'll notice Andy is in the right hand side of the second photo, slightly bent over - he'd have to properly duck to get under the gas pipe. It's also quite clear what we have here, although it is "secure". It's also on a raised gantry, and all the other units around here are also open.
Lastly, here's another storeage area. It's a bit more messy than the first one, and is Andy's preferred place, as it's much lighter and there's more ventilation. There's all the equipment to make a mezanine floor here, and there's one already constructed we could use as well. Personally, I feel this is less usable for our purposes, but we'll see what happens. Sadly, I only took one photo, as my camera ran out of batteries just after I took this one. Andy took more, but I've not yet got them from him.
